RMS Team make the Grade

Working at height is an exceptionally dangerous activity and RMS invests heavily into training and the Health & Safety of their teams.

Last week saw one of their teams regain their licences to operate and drive Cherry-pickers & Scissor-lifts. The International Power Access Federation training is required for the licenced and approved safe working with "mobile elevating working platform equipment." This licence needs to be updated every 5 years and Rob, Gary, Brian, Jamie, Ross, Terry & Andy passed with flying colours yet again.

"We pride ourselves on the quality of workmanship and the standard of our teams. This recent training is another example of how we've earned the reputation of professionals and specialists in roofing solutions." praised Chris Watchorn, Director of RMS.

JUST THE TICKET...RMS run a New & Green Technonlogies event last week

RMS Event leads to a cry for more...

At a time when pressures are heavy on Costs, Efficiency & Energy; RMS presented an event on Solutions to aid these issues and the inevitable compliance to building efficiency regulations that come into effect October 2010 impacting both New Builds and Existing Commercial Buildings.

The content was well received covering:
Health & Safety - roof safety systems, making maintenance safer & cheaper (qbmdistributors.co.uk)
Green roofs – understanding benefits & options (SKY-gardens.co.uk)
Renewable energy solutions (energyconnectuk.com)
New technology & high performance membranes (RMS & liquidplastics)

The success of the event has lead to the prospect of delivering 2 more events else where in the country. Architects and 1st & 2nd Tier Building Contractors in Birmingham have contacted RMS & expressed their interest.

RMS are considering developing and registering a CPD (continual personal development) points event following the responses from the industry.
